Do you find yourself watching the TV Show "How it's made" or "Factory Made" on the Discovery Channel?  Then you have found the right position! 

An associate appraiser will conduct inspections independently, but will be subject to the comprehensive supervision and review of senior appraisers.  They are fascinated and comfortable with the manufacturing environment. Associates must be able to handle all phases of an appraisal, while also having the ability to relate professionally and effectively with customers while accomplishing project objectives.  They are cynical detectives with a keen power of observation.

An associate looks at everything, questions anything, and works diligently to piece together all of the clues to arrive at a logical, precise, and accurate conclusions of value.  Through their skills in observation they have gained the ability to recognize cross selling opportunities and have developed sales techniques to pursue the utilization of AccuVal's various business services. They have gained the ability to work and communicate effectively with all forms of clients, from plant managers to CFOs.  They also have obtained the ability to communicate their appraisal results, both verbally and in writing, to senior appraisers. An associate has developed, maintained, and continues to improve their expertise in the appraisals of various machinery and equipment.  

They are self reliant in their appraising and confident in the accuracy of their work. Approximately 40% travel is required including travel throughout the US and Mexico.  Associate appraisers will be involved in:

  1. Scheduling appraisals
  2. Performing inspections
  3. Researching the market
  4. Analyzing data
  5. Deriving value conclusions
  6. Report writing



A qualified M&E Associate will have a high degree of integrity, business acumen, machinery and equipment expertise, and ample communication skills (verbal/written).  A degree in a related field such as Accounting, Engineering or Operations Management Finance, Economics is preferred but comparable accomplishments in other areas will be considered.  An ideal candidate would have between two and six years' experience in appraising machinery and equipment.  Must be able to travel within the US and Mexico.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in both English and Spanish (fluency in both languages is required).
